James McAuley : A Pioneer in Neoclassical Literature, Bao-lin Yang , single work criticism
'James McAuley is a well-known figure in Australian poetry and literary criticism. McAuley's early poems are imbued with modernist features, especially Ern Malley Hoax which made him famous overnight. However, it is his neoclassical poetry and liter-ary criticism that establish his poetic reputation. McAuley values traditional religion and metaphysics, acclaims artistic works of beauty and utility and prefers neoclassical poetry to prose. McAuley' s appeal for neoclassicism exerts great influence on the development of Australian literature.' (Publication abstract)

Lost in the Wilderness or Lost of Family Relationships, Li-Li Zhang , single work criticism
'The World Beneath, first published in the year 2009, is the first novel by Cate Kennedy, often cited as Australia' s queen of the short story. The novel depicts an ordinary family story, reflecting the frustrations and annoyance faced by mid-aged females in contemporary Australia. As a new female writer, Cate Kennedy starts from ordinary daily life and explores women' real demand in the post-feminist era. In this way, she attempted to bring the feminist movement from fantasy to reality. This article first introduces the theme of the novel, and then analyzes three protagonists' inner world from their perspectives.'
