The REAL Awards operates as a shortlist for multiple children's choice awards, including KOALA, YABBA, and KROC.
The REAL Awards contain four categories: Picture Story Books; Fiction for Younger Readers; Fiction for Older Readers; and Fiction for Years 7-9.
