The bushfires last summer should have been prevented, and Country should have been spared. But instead of giving First Nations people autonomy of their land and ability to perform their culture, science and caring for Country, the government is obsessed with continuing an extractive colonisation that will continue to kill us and other living beings we are in kinship with.'
