History
Established in 2013 by Sandy M. Campbell in memory of his long-term partner Donald Windham. The prize is awarded through Yale University. According to the prize's website, 'In addition to a citation and award, winners of the Donald Windham-Sandy M. Campbell Literature Prizes receive an unrestricted grant of $150,000 to support their writing.'
