AbstractHistoryArchive Description

'The story follows a man who returns home to discover a long-buried family secret, and whose attempts to put things right threaten the lives of those he left home years before.' (Production summary)

Notes

  • Adapted from Simon Stone's Belvoir St production of The Wild Duck. According to an interview with Stone:

It’s kind of a third degree of separation from the source material… It’s a very different story from the story people are seeing on stage…The film has an intricate detail to it, a social fabric, that I kind of essentially in the first place removed from Ibsen’s play to just focus on the humans.
