Description
How do short stories, poems, plays, novels and films generate meaning? This unit explores some of the strategies we can use to understand literary texts. It introduces students to the work of close reading, critical thinking, and academic writing. Students who successfully complete this unit will have gained a foundational vocabulary and developed core skills on which to base further studies in English.
