BiographyHistory

Tim Kroenert was born, raised, and has live in Melbourne's eastern suburbs. A Salvation Army upbringing fuelled a sense of social justice and an interest in the weird and macabre. He won a regional short story competition at the age of eleven. He continued writing fiction during his teen years and later completed a Bachelor of Arts (Professional Writing) at Deakin University and worked part-time as a bookseller.

After graduating in 2002, Kroenert worked for five years with The Salvation Army's national editorial department. He is a contributor to American Exorcist - a volume of essays on the work of William Peter Blatty - and volume one of the journal Studies in Australian Weird Fiction.

Tim Kroenert has been assistant editor of Eureka Street. His reviews have also been published by The Age, The Courier-Mail and The Big Issue.
