BiographyHistory

'Avid Reader opened in 1997 when Fiona Stager, Kevin Guy, Verdi Guy and Colleen Mullin decided that West End needed a bookstore specialising in new, quality fiction and non-fiction. Since then Avid Reader has grown from strength to strength with the help of our loyal and valued customers. Avid Reader has seen many changes over the years. In 1999, Krissy Kneen became part time bookseller and lady of the late-night shifts. In 2003 Avid Reader moved to a bigger premise and installed a coffee shop.'
