Professor Ian Reid was appointed Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Curtin University of Technology in 1991 and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the Office of Teaching in 1997. His earlier schooling and university studies were in New Zealand. He holds a PhD from Adelaide University which he completed in 1970, and has been a Fellow of both the Australian Institute of Management and the Australian College of Education. Reid has studied and taught at a number of universities in Australia, the USA and New Zealand. As well as poetry and criticism, he is the author of educational studies.
