'Dr Julia Kuehn has Master's degrees from the Universities of Bonn and Oxford, and a PhD from the University of London. Her research interests lie in 19th and 20th-century literature and culture, with particular focus on popular writing. Another interest is travel writing, particularly English-language travel writing concerned with China/ the Chinese diaspora in the 19th and 20th century.'
