Eden Liddelow is a widely published essayist on literature, culture and society, a writer of fiction and poetry, and more recently, a translator. She worked in research at the Tavistock Institute of Human Relations in London before teaching literature, applied linguistics and creative writing at RMIT, the University of Melbourne and Deakin University.

Liddelow has many community interests and has chaired the Victorian Council of the ABC. Her recreational activities include playing the piano, being by the sea and observing honeyeaters. Liddelow has made her home in the Melbourne suburb of St Kilda, although her interest in France takes her there regularly. She has translated from the French Charles Rojzman's How To Live Together: A New Way of Dealing with Racism and Violence (1999).
