BiographyHistory

Mark Bin Bakar is well known as a musician, comedian, radio announcer and champion of Aboriginal rights. Bin Bakar has won countless awards for his musical achievements and social justice endeavours. During his life Mark Bin Bakar has been committed to improving the lives of Aboriginal people through his involvement with various Aboriginal corporations and voicing the concerns of members of the Stolen Generations. Bin Bakar was named Indigenous Person of the Year for 2007-2008, Western Australian of the Year 2008 and conferred an honorary Doctorate at Edith Cowan University in 2009.
