BiographyHistory

Professor Colin Mackerras is an internationally recognised expert on East Asia. He has had a long and distinguished career within academia, and taught for many years at Griffith University, in Brisbane, where he was Foundation Professor in Modern Asian Studies. He has been a longstanding advocate of Australia's move towards Asia.
