Born in Opticari, Macedonia, Blagoja Neskovski used his experiences to write plays that dealt with migrant dislocation and cultural adjustment. They were written and performed in Macedonian and English, and published posthumously in English. He studied acting at the University of Wollongong and NIDA, and both directed and acted in plays in Sydney and Wollongong. He acted in many roles for the Nimrod Theatre, Sydney, and directed Burite Kraj Vardar and I Cole Praj Kompo [Conqueror Cole] for the Macedonian Theatre Group of Illawarra which was renamed The Macedonian Theatre Bill Neskovski after his death. He was a member of the Macedonian Literary Association Grigor Prlichev and of the Writer's Association of Macedonia.
