''Beetle Soup' is a special blend of stories and poems for the under-10s. All of the items are by Australian writers; there are old favourites as well as brand new contributions. The selections range from the city to the farm, from the beach to the bush. We meet Australian wildlife, both real and fanciful like the bunyip and the hippolottamuss, and a wonderful cast of Australian characters doing everyday and out-of-the-ordinary things.

'Adults will love sharing 'Beetle Soup' as a read-aloud with their children, and young readers will enjoy dipping into it for themselves.' (Publication summary)
