BiographyHistory

Daniel Keene, a theatre director and dramatist, has written for the theatre, the cinema and the radio since 1979. With Ariette Taylor, Keene co-founded The Keene/Taylor Theatre Project in the late 1990s. His play The Hour Before My Brother Dies was adapted as a screenplay for the ABC, and he wrote the opera libretto, The Loved Ones, for the Victoria State Opera. Keene's plays have been performed in Australia, France, Poland and the United States. Many of his plays have been published in French translation.
