BiographyHistory

Jonathan Harlen grew up in New Zealand before moving to Australia in 1986. He has worked in numerous careers, and has been a teacher, journalist, comedy writer, landscape gardener and rock musician.

Harlen writes for children of many different age groups. He has written picture books and novels which explore themes that range from conservation to the supernatural. He has offered numerous school workshops to enhance the literacy and creative writing skills of young people.
