Notes
-
Note that E. Morris Miller's Australian Literature From its Beginnings to 1935 (1940) attributes the anthology Volcanic Gold and Other Tales (1890) to Harriet Patchett Martin. However, there is no indication within the work itself that Martin was in fact connected with it, either as editor, compiler, or contributor. Significantly, E. Morris Miller and Frederick T. Macartney's later Australian Literature : A Bibliography to 1938 : Extended to 1950 (1956), does not attribute Volcanic Gold and Other Tales to Harriet Patchett Martin, but instead lists it separately by title.
