David Curzon has a B.Sc. in Physics and and Ph.D. in Economics. He has worked for the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO) in Australia and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in Washington, USA. He has also been a Professor of Economics and has worked for the United Nations, from which he retired in September 2001, after serving as Chief of the Central Evaluation Unit.
Curzon has published collections of poetry and prose, and has edited two anthologies of twentieth-century poetry based on biblical texts. He has also translated poetry by medieval French writer Eustache Deschamps and poetry by twentieth-century Polish writer Anna Kamieńska.
