Note: In addition to the titles listed, there are two or three other stories with Australian content in the various volumes of his collected works (e.g. "Booby Island"). However, Tales of the Desert and Bush and also The Young Gold-Digger, both listed in various sources as being Australian, are not Australian, but mostly set in USA. Similarly, Blau Wasser (1858), which is listed by several sources (including ADB) as having Australian content, does not, although it has often been published in omnibus editions with Aus dem Matrosenleben, which does have Australian content.
