BiographyHistory

John Patterson is most noted for his television scriptwriting, particularly children's shows such as the series Fatty and George (1981), Boffins (1995) and the successful Johnson and Friends (1990-1991) which won an AWGIE in 1992, and was nominated for two International Emmy Awards. He has also written scripts for educational productions about banking, unions, and health issues. Patterson wrote the libretto for The Watching Clock (1977) a one-act forty minute black comedy opera for children, first performed by the Tasmanian Opera Company in 1977.
