'The Art of Graeme Base explores the life and work of this remarkable artist, and includes more than 200 illustrations, many of which have never been seen before. In this delightful account, former Penguin publisher Julie Watts looks closely at what went on behind the making of each of his books, as well as the creation of his musical and screen works.

'Graeme Base's lively reflections, taken from extensive interviews for the book, and his caption commentaries on each illustration will immensely enrich the reader's understanding of how he creates his imaginary worlds. The Art of Graeme Base invites readers of all ages to share his journey and to witness the development of a unique brand of genius.'
