BiographyHistory

Educated in Santiniketan, Calcutta, and Chicago, Prithvindra Chakravarti has worked at the University of Papua New Guinea, lecturing in literature and folk lore and convening a creative writing workshop. He has also taught at Batchelor College, N. T. He has published poems in Australian, African, Indian and American magazines. He has written poetry in Bengali as well as English and, in collaboration with Professor Ullie Beier, he has translated poetry from Bengali to English.
