BiographyHistory

In 2001 Juliet Paine completed a Bachelor of Arts with Honours at the University of Adelaide with the thesis 'Exposing Taboo Spaces: The Postcolonial Body in the Novels of J. M. Coetzee'. She was awarded the joint Independent Arts Foundation Literature Scholarship and the Colin Thiele Literature Scholarship for 2000/2001. Paine moved from South Australia to Tasmania in 2002 to take up a PhD scholarship at the University of Tasmania. Prior to completing her PhD, she returned to South Australia where she has taught English at Loreto College, Adelaide. Paine has been involved with the Friendly Street Poets for some years.
