BiographyHistory

Bookseller and Children's Book Council volunteer, June Smith served as President, Vice President, Secretary and State Delegate. As National Vice President she was involved in the first National Conference of the Children's Book Council in 1992 and, with Margaret Hamilton (q.v.), she devised and launched the CBC Awards Foundation in 1995.

June Smith owned the Macquarie Bookshop from 1968 to 1995.
