BiographyHistory

Frane Lessac studied at the New School for Social Research, New York City and also at the University of Southern California and University of California, Los Angeles. She has travelled extensively and her illustrated books are often based on her journeys. Lessac has exhibited her paintings internationally.

Lessac and her family divide their time between southwestern Australia and New York. She is an assistant regional adviser for the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI) in Western Australia and has participated in many workshops involving the process of writing and illustrating books.
