BiographyHistory

Kate Ryan was educated at Genazzano, Kew, and Melbourne University, where she completed an honours degree in Arts. She then undertook a creative writing and editing course at RMIT. She has worked as an editor with Macmillan and Penguin, in particular as an editor of children's books. She has also worked as a freelance editor. Ryan is a niece of Brenda Niall and of Frances O'Neill.
