1 4 Country Song Reg Cribb , Michael Tuahine , 2015 single work musical theatre

'Country Song is a beautiful, musical, witty and warming journey that celebrates the healing power of music. It will take you on a heartfelt journey with toe-tapping tunes and larger-than-life characters.

'Jimmy Little is waiting backstage. He¹s been asked to perform the national anthem, in front of an audience that love him and his music. He is an Australian icon; an entertainer first and foremost. But what does it mean to sing this song now? Does it matter? Who is he really singing for?

'In Country Song, Jimmy is whisked on a fictional road trip to his past as his story weaves through the history of major social changes of the 1970¹s. Along the way we hear stories of singers Auriel Andrew, Bobby McLeod and Lionel Rose in this tribute to the era and the music that was a soundtrack for a generation. Once a smiling, cheeky child of Vaudevillians, now a poster boy for Indigenous performers, Jimmy takes us through the thoughts of an artist who must weigh up the political power of his voice. Filled with well-known tunes, Country Song is a beautiful, musical, witty and warming journey that celebrates the healing power of music.

'Acclaimed actor and musician Michael Tuahine came up with the original idea for Country Song after being inspired by Walk the Line. Reg Cribb won the 2013 Rodney Seaborn Playwright's Award for New Work.'

1 5 Boundary Street Reg Cribb , 2011 single work drama

'1942. The world is at war. Singapore has fallen to the Japanese army. Darwin has been bombed. The arrival in Australia of United States troops - black and white - provides a ray of hope. But it's an uneasy alliance. Boundary Street follows the story of three African-American soldiers in Brisbane. Off duty, they head to the Dr Carver Club, a jazz club set up especially for African-American servicemen.

The promise of new, exotic music and dancing attracts many Australians, including "respectable" white and Indigenous women. Prejudices are dispelled and genuine friendships blossom, but then the simmering racism erupts violently.' Source: www.bsstc.com.au (Sighted 09/03/2011).

'250 kilometres apart, two 16 year-old girls walk into two police stations to make a confession. A confession of a crime so unimaginable that the full extent of what they are saying only slowly dawns on the police. And in their hometown, nothing will ever be the same again. What drives two teenage girls to commit a crime that has shaken their home town to the core and shocked the entire country?

Exploring the rural subculture of drugs, alcohol and the alienation of today's youth, Reg Cribb weaves a disquieting tale of crime and inhumanity.' Source: www.bsstc.com.au/ (sighted 14/10/2011).

1 David Gulpilil Reg Cribb , 2010 single work biography
— Appears in: Australian Perspectives Essays 2010;
'If you asked most Australians where they think David Gulpilil, our most decorated indigenous performer, might live, most would probably shrug their shoulders and say: "I don't know ... Bondi maybe. Isn't that where all the other actors live?" David is in fact the link between our Westernised urban sprawl and a land and culture that is as old as time. He is one of the rare glimpses into a vanishing culture that he hugs as fiercely as we hug the bosom of our coastal cities. When you look into David's face you see the Arafura Swamp, the Glyde River, the oncoming Wet season and the steely Barru hunter preparing for an all night hunt so that he can feed his family. And when that face breaks into a broad grin you know that you are welcome on his land, but only if you respect it with your very soul.' (Introduction)
1 6 Krakouer! Reg Cribb , 2009 single work drama 'Jim and Phil Krakouer took the Australian football world by storm in the early 1980s. Their unique and anarchic brand of football, dubbed ‘black magic’, captured the imagination of the nation. Debuting with the ‘blue blooded’ Claremont FC in Perth, the boys propelled the Tigers to their first Grand Final in decades. In Melbourne they reached new heights with the mighty Kangaroos until injury and personal drama undid their careers. Regarded as two of the greatest AFL players in history, the Krakouer brothers played in a not-so-distant time when racism was rife and professional Aboriginal footballers were rare. Krakouer! is the story of the challenges they faced in the rise to the top of their game, their skill, daring and resilience, both on and off the sporting field and the controversy and adversity they met throughout their lives' (Seymour Centre website sighted 25/07/2011)

After being punished for an act of youthful rebellion, he runs away from the mission on a journey that leads him to meet his 'Uncle Tadpole' and eventually return to Broome. Along the way, Willie and Uncle Tadpole meet a couple of hippies, spend the night in gaol, and meet a gun-toting roadhouse operator, while managing to stay one step ahead of Father Benedictus, who wants to bring Willie back to the mission.

— Appears in: Collection #7 : 27 New Plays from the Australian Script Centre 2008; (p. 23) Tales Tall and True 2011;
'Ruby Constance has a past as rich as her dreams of the future. As she sits at her favourite poker machine, 'The Dancing Lady', with only one coin to her name, her life swirls around her in a cavalcade of memories. Memories that tell the history of Australia's post-war past, and tantalise us like the $50,000 jackpot that hangs over Ruby's head, but is oh so far out of her reach.

Ruby's pokie becomes her friend, her confidante and her confessor. As we trawl through the scattered remnants of her life, we see a little orphan girl from Sydney drag herself out of the gutter to become a bona fide Tivoli star, only to find herself back on the streets again and eventually in a suburban RSL, lost amongst a sea of pokies.

This is the story of a survivor, a woman who would risk everything to ensure a better life for her granddaughter, but who has only one thing left to gamble with - her precious, lucky coin. If she puts this coin in the slot, will she win the jackpot, or will she lose all that is left of her?'. (Source: Australian Script Centre website).
