BiographyHistory

Barbara Hannay earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at Queensland University and became an English teacher in country Queensland. After completing a creative writing course, she began to have short stories published in the Australian Women's Weekly and Woman's Day.

Hannay has used her local knowledge of Townsville, North Queensland, in the settings for the romance novels she has written for Mills and Boon. Her novels have been published in Australia, the UK, New Zealand and the USA.
