The February 1927 issue of The Home: An Australian Quarterly contained a topical column which was co-written by two of the journal's travel correspondents, Freda Barrymore (aka Freda Sternberg) and Isabel Ramsay. 'From Paris to St Paul's' was prefaced with the following: 'Some account of the pleasures and passions of the two European capitals, recorded in the first place by Isabel Ramsay ... and in the second, by Freda Sternberg'.

The September 1928 issue of the Home contains a brief note which states that 'Miss Freda Sternberg whose Australian pied-a-terre is at Blackstone, Elizabeth Bay, left Sydney last month to spend a few weeks in Queensland. She plans to visit Cairns and Cloncurry, in order to learn more about the real Australia before returning to England next year. "It's only when one goes abroad and people ask one millions of questions about the country that you realise how sketchy your knowledge of Australia really is," she says...' (p. 4)
