Having killed his wife, Anita, in a drunken rage and then served two years in prison, a man finds he is no longer accepted in his community. Venturing timidly into town for a few beers on a stormy night, he is stung by the vitriolic attacks upon him. As he stumbles back to the seaside cave he lives in, accompanied by the voice of his deceased wife, his footsteps falter and he finds himself struggling in the ocean.
