Contemporary newspapers reported that the play 'was placed second by the judges in the recent A.B.C. play competition.' (See 'Broadcast Features from ABC Stations', Riverine Herald, 15 November 1940, p.1.), after George Farwell's Portrait of a Gentleman' and ahead of George Landen Dann's Funerals for Field-mice~.
