Lucy Sussex ('Tasma's First Publication' ALS 15.3 May 1992: 225-226) maintains that this is a poem by Tasma elsewhere referred to as 'Lines Addressed by a Mother to Her Idiot Son'.

In two other sources (Winifred Birkett,1938, and Patricia Clarke, Pen Portraits, 1988), the poem is referred to as 'Lines Addressed by a Mother to Her Idiot Son').
