Notes from the meeting of 15 March. A letter from Villiers (possibly when writing Cruise of the Conrad)
in the United States was read. Presentations included 'The Trend of Australian Novels' by Mrs W. M. Peacock, 'The Novel and the Screen' by Tarlton Rayment, 'Where Australia Leads' (in the creation of light verse acoording to Montague Grover) and 'The Australian market for Writers' by Alan Marshall. Jago announced a new magazine to be produced in Sydney the scope of which would include "good fiction, verse of a high standard, and the work of black and white artists".
