In Search of 'Herr O', Walter Struve , single work criticism
'The name of the German-born Australian writer and broadcaster, Kurt Offenburg , has fallen into obscurity. At the time of his death, he was 'well known throughout Australia as a hard-hitting, outspoken, and realistic interpreter of international affairs'; in Germany he may be remembered for thoughtful, probing essays, reviews and a novel, which the Australian poet and scholar, Christopher Brennan, later translated into English, as well as 'a few' of Offenburg's articles and poems.'
