History

Inaugurated in 2003, the WriteSmall Award was organised as part of the Brisbane Writers Festival. Competitors were challenged to come up with a very short story -- exactly 100 words.

Notes

  • Writesmall is a creative microfiction writing competition for Queenslanders. Introduced as part of the lead-up to the 2003 Brisbane Writers Festival, participants are required to write a micofiction story in exactly 100 words. The winning entry will be published in The Courier-Mail.
