Established 2008 Breaking New Ground offers a one-off grant of $40,000 each to six high-profile authors. The aim is to 'assist in the creation of important new work by established Australian writers and picture book and graphic novel illustrators, which breaks new literary ground for the writer and will also have a high expectation of publication or production.'
