History
Presented by the Aboriginal Education Council. The Awards have been designed to encourage Australian Indigenous students, in Kindergarten to Year 12 studying in NSW, to use their reading, writing, and creative skills.

' An annual award open to NSW Indigenous Australian school aged students' from K-6 and 7-12. These awards have been initiated by the NSW Aboriginal Education Council in the memory of Patrick White who was one of Australia's most accomplished writers and an avid supporter of the advancement of Indigenous Australian youth.
