'It can be used as a whole-class teaching activity or as an individual project. Through participating in the competition, students are engaged in authentic writing experiences which can be linked to the outcomes of the NSW English K–6 Syllabus.
'WriteOn provides students with the opportunity to become published authors. Outstanding entries from the 2018 competition have been published in the Best of WriteOn 2018 anthology.' (https://educationstandards.nsw.edu.au/wps/portal/nesa/about/events/writeon-competition)
