History

'The Nature Conservancy Nature Writing Prize is a biennial event created to promote and celebrate the art of nature writing in Australia, as well as to encourage a greater appreciation of our magnificent landscapes.' Notes

  • The Nature Conservancy Nature Writing Prize is a 'biennial national $5000 prize for a 3000-5000 word essay in the genre of "writing of place".'

    The prize was launched at the 2010 Perth Writers Festival by Barry Lopez.
