History

'Launched in 1998 as the Stella Award, renamed Barry Award in 2000 and renamed in 2019 as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Award for Most Outstanding Show. The winner of this award is for the best first-timer at the Festival.' (https://www.comedyfestival.com.au/about-us/awards)
