History

The Aspiring Writers Mentorship Program is run by the CBCA NSW, and is given to an unpublished author of children's literature. It is open to picture book and children's fiction manuscripts.

This program was launched in 1996, and is open to Australian citizens residing in Australia. In 2016 HarperCollins began a partnership with the program.

Winners receive a mentorship, and the Charlotte Waring Barton Award.
