Description

This is a survey subject of Australian history from Indigenous occupation until the present day. Australian History considers the foundation of Australia, its political, economic and social development from convict colony to nation and beyond.

This subject will provide students with a broad understanding of the major developments in Australian history from Aboriginal colonisation to the present. More generally, it will provide students with an informed understanding of how historical practice and debate has shaped and continues to shape understandings of Australia's past and present.
