BiographyHistory

During her extensive career in entertainment Gael Ballantyne has worked as a stage, film and television. Her theatre credits include Mamma Mia (original Australian cast), La Cage Aux Folles (original Australian cast), Blackrock, After the Ball, Summer Rain, Emma, Hope of The World, The Cavalcaders, and Cosi. Her television work has seen her appear in such series as All Saints, Water Rats, Backburner, Medivac, The Wayne Manifesto, Home and Away, Neighbours, Sons and Daughters and Monarch Cove. Ballantyne's film roles have included Risk, Little White Lies and Mr Reliable (aka My Entire Life).

In addition to her acting career Ballantyne produced, directed and co-wrote the musical play Honey (2007), worked as co-writer on various performance pieces including shows for Grayboy Entertainment, P&O, Venebles Entertainment (Sydney) and the Cairns Casino. She was editor/director on a new play Oh, Strike Me Lucky: An Evening with Roy Rene "Mo," and directed Margery Forde’s Xstacy for Ensemble Studios.

Ballantyne's teaching credits include acting and musical performance coaching at Warner Brothers Movie World, ED5 International, Brent St, Ensemble Studios, ACTT, and Grayboy The Agency.
