This unit introduces students to the genre of literary journalism, which combines creative writing techniques with journalism skills. Students read a selection of texts that have informed the field but will focus on contemporary writing. The unit assists students developing the skills to produce a work of literary journalism. Students will work through the various stages, practising creative writing techniques, conducting interviews, research, fieldwork, drafting, editing, fact checking, as well as debating ethics in order to produce their own article.
