This course introduces you to the foundational aspects of writing for the drama and the screen, with an emphasis on the fundamentals of storytelling and dramatic form. It explores the basic elements of dramatic structure, plot, scene development, character, theme, genre, and dialogue. The course develops skills for those with an interest in media production in general, creative writers who wish to expand their avenues of expression, those who aspire to work either in the theatre or in the film industry, and those who aspire to become playwrights/ screenwriters.
