1 y separately published work icon All in the Same Boat Michael Fitzgerald Page , London : Robert Hale , 1970 Z1328875 1970 single work novel adventure When Nicholas Raven's ship was sunk by a German raider, he was cast adrift in an Atlantic storm. There were five others in the boat, including his enemy, Carlton. During their desperate efforts to survive, Raven rescued two American nurses and a doctor, whose ship had also been sunk. Raven led the strange boatload in boarding a drifiting derelict, but before they could carry out their plan to sail her to England they were taken over by three members of a U-boat crew. The rest of the story is a three-way battle: all of them against the sea, the survivors against the Germans, and Raven against Carlton, whose enmity is not appeased by the fact that Raven saves his life. The two nurses and the doctor have a vital part to play, and the whole adventure reaches a climax at the moment when it seems that the ship and all aboard her will be lost.
