1 Collapse Grace de Morgan , 2019 single work drama

'Collapse is a new work that speaks to a concern that impacts us all – how we act when we are on the brink of collapse.

'Through the personal experiences of six young people in Canberra, Collapse explores the factors that have contributed to the destruction of civilisations past and the challenges that threaten our society today.

'What will be the final tipping point? Nuclear warfare. Over-population. Ecological degradation. Poor leadership.

'How do we respond when everything feels like it is spiralling out of control, and can we prevent it from falling apart?'

1 1 The Verbatim Project Canberra Youth Theatre Company , 2016 single work drama

'Verbatim theatre is a style that is current and relevant in the theatrical world as we choose more and more to explore real stories and real people. Teens and older members of society are two groups who are often marginalised purely on account of their age and this work will find connections between them. There are certain generalisations that are assumed about these age groups, and this project intends to bring those to light, exploring how true they are. It will also delve into the differences between these two groups but more so the similarities, possibly making the discovery that as human beings, maybe we all just want the same thing.'

The Verbatim Project will be devised around recorded interviews with all participants, with the material in the final piece presented theatrically through audio, video and live work.' (Source: Ainslie + Gorman Centres website)
