An Australian-American co-production and loose adaptation of the third novel in Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles series, Queen of the Damned follow the vampire Lestat as he awakens (both literally and metaphorically) to Nu Metal, and refashions himself as a rock star. Warned by his compatriots that the vampire world will not endure his level of fame and exposure, Lestat finda a powerful ally in Akasha, the first vampire, who has been awoken herself by Lestat's music.

A modern-day Ned Kelly struggles to save his family island. Since it's against his beliefs to rob banks for his own profit, he must find another way to come up with the money.

Though the primary influence on Serious's modern-day outlaw and folk hero is Ned Kelly (as in, for example, Reckless Kelly's name and armour), the character also has shades of Robin Hood (in, for example, his refusal to rob banks for his own profit and in Hugo Weaving's villain, 'Sir John').

Like Serious's previous film, Young Einstein, this film is alternate history (in the sense of the fantasy sub-genre): in this instance, Serious works from an Australian folk-hero, but his concern is as much with the myth (and the construction of myth) as it is with the reality.

Albert Einstein, the son of a Tasmanian apple farmer, accidentally splits the atom (with a chisel) while trying to find a way to put bubbles back into beer. Travelling to Sydney to patent his new theory of relativity, Einstein romances Marie Curie and incidentally invents both rock and roll and surfing.

Based on the real events surrounding the trial of Lindy and Michael Chamberlain, who were accused of murdering their daughter Azaria at Uluru in Central Australia.

Set in during the Great Depression of the late 1920s, Paddy Carmody and his wife Ida have been living on the road as drovers for sixteen years. Ida who is longing for the family, which includes their young son, to live a more comfortable existence has been secretly saving money so they might eventually settle down. Paddy on the other hand is happy with things as they are. After completing a long drive, which almost sees her husband killed in a bushfire, Ida persuades Paddy to take up a job as a shearer. She is engaged as the cook, and strikes up a close friendship with the wife of the station owner. When Paddy wins a racehorse in a two-up game it seems that Ida's dream of a home will finally happen, but then Paddy shatters it by losing all their money in another two-up game. Their son Sean comes to the rescue, however, by riding the racehorse to victory in a local derby. Ashamed at what he has nearly done to his wife, Paddy remorsefully offers to buy Ida her farm with the prize money. It is then that she realises that it is not yet the time, and they return once more to the open road.
