1 Australian Indigenous Knowledge and the Archives : Embracing Multiple Ways of Knowing and Keeping Sue McKemmish , Shannon Faulkhead , Livia Iacovino , Kirsten Thorpe , 2010 single work criticism
— Appears in: Archives and Manuscripts , May vol. 38 no. 1 2010; (p. 27-50)
'This paper presents the main findings of an Australian Research Council Linkage Research Project, Trust and Technology: Building Archival Systems for Indigenous Oral Memory, against the background of a renewed national energy for reconciliation in Australia, and with reference to Indigenous human rights and how related charters and protocols relate to archival sources of Indigenous knowledge in Australia. It concludes by proposing an action agenda to guide a response by the Australian archival profession. The paper is based on a presentation to the joint ASA (Australian Society of Archivists)/ARANZ (Archives and Records Association of New Zealand)/PARBICA (Pacific Regional Branch International Council on Archives) Conference, Voyaging Together: Memory, Integrity, Sustainability, held in Brisbane in October 2009.' 1 Connecting Through Records : Narratives of Koorie Victoria Shannon Faulkhead , 2009 single work criticism
— Appears in: Archives and Manuscripts , November vol. 37 no. 2 2009; (p. 60-88)

The aim of this paper is to look at how ‘narratives of Koorie people, culture and history are accessed, interpreted and integrated from records stored within two different sources – Koorie oral tradition and archival institutions. Through this paper key related issues such as the preferencing of some sources over others, reliability issues, and the role of forgotten narratives will be explored suggesting that this co-existence is on the terms of the mainstream systems.’ (p. 61)
